A Third-Person Action-Adventure game supporting up to four players, in which the player takes control of various Funko Pop! figures. Following the rise of the malevolent Eddy Funko, the player character travels across the 'WonderWorlds' - levels based on settings and scenarios from different pop culture properties - completing missions, battling enemies, and collecting vinyl to manufacture new Pop!s and tools the player can use to progress through the game.
For this project, I was primarily responsible for the development, implementation, and optimisation of the UI for the game, working closely with our UI Artist & Technical UI Implementer to create and implement exciting, interesting, and effective User Interfaces. I worked on a wide variety of features and mechanics spanning almost all areas of the game, for all target platforms, including (but not limited to):
- Player HUD (Health Bars, Inventories, Objective UI etc)
- Character Selection Menus (including "purchasing" of skins, and unlocking of different characters).
- Front End Systems (including the Main Menu, Credits, End User Licence Agreements, and more).
- Pause Menu(s) & Settings Menu(s) (including the implementation of a wide variety of in-game options & scalability settings).
- Multiplayer systems, features, & mechanics (in addition to multiplayer lobbies, invites etc).
- Ongoing optimization of all existing & upcoming UI features & mechanics.
